This portal has discovered a gospel music video that is causing quite a stir on social media and within the Ghanaian music community. Naa Agyeman, a legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, appears in the seven-second video.
According to our research, the song titled ‘Testimony’ is a collaboration he did with Ghanaian gospel musician MIQ B, who is based in America.
Hotfmghana.com reported about a month ago that Naa Agyemang is considering leaving secular music to follow in the footsteps of legendary Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah, who left secular music to establish his own church in 2012.
Ofori Amponsah was accused of becoming a pastor solely for the ‘offering’ from his church members. Highlife music, by coincidence, has been unable to make an impact in the music industry for many years.
They are not billed to perform at events at a time Ghanaian musicians are raking most money from shows. It’s unclear whether this misled Naa Agyemang into abandoning the genre that helped him become a legend.
