Ghana have soo many Gospel musicians based in the United Kingdom which most of them relocated from the country at the early stage of their career and others also joined the UK community in their prime just to help reach out to fellow Ghanaians living in the UK.

Esther Smith:

 She is known to be one of the best Gospel musicians Ghana have seen in it’s history, she has that great songwriting skills and also an amazing performer. Esther Smith who is now based in the United Kingdom serves as a role model to many Ghanaian musicians.

Her Background: Esther Smith was born in Ghana in the early 70’s in Kumasi, Suame. She joined the Tesano Methodist church choir when she was 14-years of age and grew into music scene at the church.

She went to the Garden City Computer Training and Typing School and the School of Languages in Kumasi, Ghana, following her secondary school graduation. She once more joined a singing ensemble that Kapital Radio, a Kumasi-based private radio station, had formed.

At the 2003 Ghana Music Awards, she took home the Best Female Vocal Performance of the Year, Gospel Album of the Year, and Gospel Artiste of the Year awards.
